Hello, I am a recent grad, 4 year degree, and was wondering what times of the year, month and such, is one most likely to get a job in Thailand. The cert program I will take will put me there and certified at Phuket on the 16 of September or in Ban Phe on the 25th of August. I was hoping to do Phuket but if it's too late then that's that. If these dates aren't in the best time then how limited will I be by these times? Thank you.

Government (public schools) = Term 1 May-Sept, Term 2 Oct/Nov-Feb/Mar

Private Thai/low-mid tier "international" schools = most same as public system

mid-high tier international schools/some private thai schools = Aug/Sept - June (varying holiday and term dates)

Unis = May/June-Sept and Oct/Nov-Feb (aproximately)

Language Schools - year round but often get busier during public school breaks

Although jobs can be found year round as teachers get fired and some quit or just leave, the prime hiring times are generally March-May and maybe again in Sept/Oct. The higher end international/private schools often hire 2-4+ months in advance, while most Thai run schools hire 1-2 months in advance and quite often at the last moment ("Can you start tomorrow?") lol.

So, IMO, I dont think it will matter which course you take. August 25 MIGHT get you a better shot at some last minute low tier "international"/Thai private school jobs, but you would probably have to start right away. You should start looking and applying during your course.

Best of luck
