I need to go to INM on Friday, but can't find any info about photos for this new card. I'm sure I'll need them but it isn't mentioned on the INM website.
Can anyone who has actually done this renewal tell me if I need them, if so, what size and how many.
Thanx |

The size is now infantil three front and two right profile--non instant here in Oaxaca because they insist that the lamination processes destroys the instant image. |

Phil you could always have them taken at a photoshop next to the migra office. They are up to date on the required photo sizes.

I could, but I have a policy of not using those places, as I disapprove of their "marketing" tactics. The right to freedom of passage without being bothered, and all that. Plus they charge more for having a captive audience. (BTW, there's a place round the corner in Homero that's cheaper, quieter and doesn't bother you in the street)
I think I'll take MotherF's advice (thank you, MotherF) and if she's wrong, I'll come back and digitally beat her! |

Already got them - as per MotherF's specifications, but thanks for all the advice. I'll post when I've been to Migra to give the D.F. version. |

What did they cost you? I've found one spot around the corner from migra that offers photos, letter writing, and application completion and I thought the prices were pretty good. 90 pesos for the set of photos you need and 25 pesos for letters.

$50 for 4 front & 4 profile. Photo shop in Felix Cuevas near the Hacienda office.
Oh dear nothing. I get pretty p***ed off in this city with everyone wanting a piece of the action. If all the people who are so creative looking for a bit of tax-free put their minds to some real work, this would be a great entrepreneurial nation. |

Well it all went pretty much according to the info in the link above, except you also have to fill in a formato bsico, which asks all kind of nosy questions. Five days in the express desk if nothing is changing and you have all your documents up together; otherwise, 30 days in the normal line. |
