I see from your ID that you are from Coquitlam. I am from Burnaby but now live in Montreal.
Do you plan to ever return to Canada after establishing a teaching career? You MUST obtain a bachelor's degree (in education is preferable), a certificate that meets TESL Canada Level I or higher standards, and realistically, a master's degree eventually (to teach in Canada). Anything less and you will not make enough money to put food on your table.
Have you considered getting your bachelor degree online with Simon Fraser University? It's one of Canada's best brick & mortar universities (for those reading who are unfamiliar, I'm sure the OP is aware of this) but you can take the vast majority (if not all) of your courses through the internet. I believe English literature with an education minor is one available option. It's not ideal to get your degree in literature but it's better than criminology (which happens to be my original major, LOL).
Either way, you need more education, minimum. Good luck! |
