You need to clarify the nature of the photos taken too. Not being funny, but if you have been a state school teacher in the UK and have moved to China, you would be coming from a culture where it is considered illegal to take photos of children, to one where it is acceptable.

Asking for more details on a forum sounds wrong I know...but for definitive advice, people here might need to know.

I know you have posted to get feedback from people who have exp of China but I think it is way out of our league.
Most Western countries have police liaison officers attached to their BJ embassy.
Get a trusted friend/relly at home to talk to a senior police officer in their local police station.
Ask for advice. If they take it up see if it can be done via the police liaison of anther country located in BJ. That way there's no direct link to you.
Delete the email after you send it.
I am unable to comprehend how (other than surreptitious upskirts) can be taken without knowledge or possibly coercion.

Hello Everyone,

I want to say, the responses have been interesting, AND:

1. the student(s) in question are over 18 (pictures are known).
2. the school has under aged children (picture status UNKNOWN).
3. I can prove it, and have ...
4. posting can have many angles, such as a warning for THEM to g.t.o.o.D. while they still can ...
5 safeguards can be many, from letting the local police department know through my Embassy names, places, and reasons so they can act if something bad happens (and yes, they DID care about this) making me the safest person on the planet.
6. the blackmail that I speak of in the original post works like this, "they have information (pictures) that the Chinese teachers don't want published", so they push everyone around. And while it isn't illegal for consenting adults, using Chinese culture regarding "face" seems WRONG.
7. and while no one is forcing me to stay, that logic is missing something
8. SOMEONE will be forcing THEM to go, is logic NOT missing something
9. and a little something about contracts in China:

Contracts that discourage inappropriate relationships with co-workers, staff members, and students will be talked about in an evaluation that will end in termination: NO MAYBE. And that had NOTHING to do with my input, but theirs (it seems I'm not the ONLY person to have mentioned this). As they posted the pictures on the internet. And while the Poster felt secure because it was in RUSSIAN, he was still busted (MEANING that the powers that be feel as I do - disgusted at their actions. Yes, yes, yes someone had to create a username to view the postings, but many people read RUSSIAN (especially Russians). Geezus! You'd think that if they were going to be criminally minded, they'd at least be smarter. )

Don't think this post is a complete troll. While the situation is real, I really only wanted to know if I was out of bounds culturally, and since corporate feels the way I do, I have my answer. The OPENING SURVEY might have painted that picture as well as the TITLE of this post: "ETHICAL BEHAVIOR". Needless to say, I got more than I was expecting. Even a couple of posts that appear, on the surface, to have been posted by the two culprits: as one has specifics regarding language chosen and logic patterns followed and the other for his inability to disguise his broken English, even in his writing (which the students find hilariously unsatisfying btw).

In the end, both individuals have done more than enough for them to be excuses from their positions on OTHER issues to be fired. And so they would have no reason to publish the embarrassing pictures of the compromised ladies. And they have no reason to retaliate against me, because they aren't being fired because of me. And that's how this whole thing is going to go down. They're out.

Bizarre post indeed. Where did I go wrong? How did he get so lucky to find a school like that? Sounds like a gas if all are consenting, but of course it can only end in tears and for all concerned I suspect. As soon as the media get a hold of this story (if true), and they will if the OP tries to make it public with the authorities, then the teachers and students involved will go through their own version of hell. As for the OP, the same will happen to him. My advice to you OP is if you don't like it get the f**k out of there...................... and make it quick
