|
|
I am currently looking a the visa application form for a Z visaand have a question about the passport photo. The box claims the following" Please affix one recent passport style color photo with fullface, front view, no hat, and against a plan light background." I realize a passport photo is 2inx2in,but wondering if they (embassy) would accept a passport photo from Walgreens in America. First problem is the photo goes over the box on the application form. If anyone is familiar with passport photos , especially from Walgreens would my photo be accept? You can see my full face up to my neck and part of my shoulders.
Thanks |

Check with the consulate you'll be dealing with. They sometimes have a photo machine right inside the place (Hong Kong) or will recommend a photographer nearby who will do the job right. |

Can you not scan the photo, attach it to an email and send it to the embassy asking them if it is acceptable? |

But , the question is will they accept it eventhough it is 2 inches by 2 inches. It has to be attached to the visa application . The problem is it hangs outside the box . Is that normal? |

Walgrens passport photos are just fine. Yes, it will be bigger than the box on the form. Your visa agent will tell you before submission if there is any problem.

Then print off the visa application form, stick the photograph on it and scan the whole thing and attach it to an email. Then ask the question, is this acceptable? |

Did you mean the visa courier agent would know if it is correct? If I call her before I send the paperwork to her, before she brings it to the embassy

What I meant was that I think the photo will be fine but in the event that there is a problem, the visa agency would contact you before submitting your application. You can avoid worrying about it if you call or email the visa agent before you send them your documents.
Relax, it really is a painless process, but it's good that you're being carefull about doing things right.

Yes, a photo from Walgreen's passport photo "service" is acceptable to the Chinese consulate.Staple it over the box on the form. The box on the form isn't even the size of the photo that you are required to submit.
I submitted a Walgreen's photo last year. No problems. |
