This place is really bad.. 4 language schools.. Deulcom pays only 1,200tl for a 30 hour week. Britishcentre will promise and then not pay, Another place called Prodem offers only on call work paid by the hour. American culture, has the nerve to offer 11tl per hour on call,, paıd the followıng month on the 25th. Thıs equals out to 7 weeks work for 1 months pay... No housing at any of these schools... Very sad state of affaırs down here...Just passıng thru on my way to Ankara for work,,just gıving you all the heads up..

Kayseri has got alot more going on then Konya. Konya is even bad by turkish standards. My turkish friend just left his job do to a lack of students. Of the big four I just mentıoned. 3 of them have about 90 students total. and one has about 150. Just not much demand here.

Konya's also about 100 times more conservative than Ankara. All in all, not much incentive for western teachers to go there.

Given the title of this thread I thought I was going to read:

THIS IS MY HOUSE!!!

Anyway, I liked Konya when I was there but it didn't strike me as a good location to actually work.
