Is 6000 a month a decent wage in Hunan if your accommodation is provided and airfare reimbursed? Thanks.

It depends on the kind of lifestyle you intend to live

Depends on sOoOoOoO many different things?

city or countryside?
mill or college?
teach/work at same place or commute?
do you have student loans or credit card debt?
do you drink/smoke other addictions?
cook at home?
eat western or Chinese food?
bus or taxi?
real or knock-off?
gf/wife, bf/husband or date or loner?
the list goes on.

EDIT: Hunan not Henan. My mistake.

6000 for a language mill with 25 hours teaching and 20 hours in an office? I wouldn't do it for less than 9k plus an apartment/flight/visa/medical/insurance/hot secretary and a psychiatrist(real work makes me crazy).

Help us help you. More info please.

Hunan is god's country. God cut himself off from foreigners for forty years. Not much has changed. Henan is agricutural and in this province you get rich by tricking the farmer. You are like the farmer alone without support.

If you're talking public institution, it's the highest you can get without an external company designing the course as the province has a salary cap (or so I've heard).

If you're talking private, then run away.
