My school just sent me a scanned copy of my invitation letter in an email. Is this alright, or will I need them to mail me the original copy. I will be going to the Houston consulate in Texas just in case the location makes a difference.

We never send a scan. I believe you must have the original copy. Maybe they are too cheap to pay for the mailing. |

my school sent me original copies of:
invitation letter
notice to apply (stating thighland!)
working permit
all originals had bright red shiny stamps.
consulate kept the original notice to apply.
invite letter and working permit were returned to me. |
