Hello,
I am here from the Thailand board as I was first considering Thailand. However, I am now between Malaysia or coastal China.
Here is my information:
I am 33 years old, female, with a BA in history and a Master's in history and literature. I currently teach one course at a university and have previously taught two courses at a couple of community colleges. I *love* to teach, and it was the reason I went to university.
I would like to teach adults at university level. I would also like to live on or near the ocean in a warm climate. I am hoping to acquire a dog or dogs at some point in the future. I also have a large amount of student loans to pay off. I would like to have a good quality of life in a place where I will be able to make friends.
Any suggestions would be helpful! |

Hello again... I hope you will take a look at both the China boards.. on topic and off topic.. to get more info about teaching and living in China. There is a fairly recent thread about Beijing Normal Univ in Zhuhai, which is in Guangdong province. Guangzhou, also in Guangdong, has lots of colleges and universities in or somewhere near the city. You might also want to consider Xiamen and Quanzhou in Fujian province.
If you search you should even be able to find some threads on owning pets in China.
Good luck on your job hunting.

Hi Ariadne,
Thanks for both your posts - I will have a look! I figured I would try posting here as it seemed more relevant than the Thailand board. |

To the OP-I find Malaysia-related info to be a bit slim here. We are in the General Asia Forum with no separate forum for one thing. |
