Dear chaiplz,

Where you would outlast those on Earth for a short time and then die an agonizing, lonely death.

Hmm... I thought of it more as watch the world end with a great view and if

a) 'civilization' ended, but a few humans still survived, I would be able to go back down.

b) the world literally ended, I could have a rather quick death on my own terms by simply leaving the station, floating around a bit and coming to terms with things, and taking off my helmet when I wanted to. I think being alone for that sort of thing makes the most sense.

Have you heard of the US religious group who say the world will end on 21 May 2011 - from earthquakes??
Presumably they're pretty pleased with recent catastrophic quake patterns...

Yesterday I saw a car that had been professionally painted with end of days on 21 May messages. ):

One of my friends in LA said that there are billboards everywhere telling people the world is ending on May 21st and to be ready Wink She posted the photos on facebook or something, they were pretty sad.

Could be another "sign" of impending doom in 2011:

I hear it's all supposed to come to an abrupt end on Saturday at around 6pm GMT. Might as well wait and see if I need to bother preparing for next week though I have a sneaky feeling I will have to. At least I'd get to miss a few work meetings..

Yeah, I'd forgot this, almost. Perhaps worthy of a new current events thread - could be THE current event in the history of the world, after all!
