I'm curious how many of you are "stupid" enough to jump through the hoops of this so-called "required evaluation" these day.

I simply refuse to do it. Too many issue - security, privacy, spam, lack of any proof of the person completing the evaluation, what's done with the information, who has access to it, purpose, etc.

SAFEA simply refuses to respond to e-mail and hangs up the phone when you ask them to provide some sort of proof of documentation that this is required to obtain and/or acquire an FEC, etc.

In addition, I created a new account today to check out any changes.

Has anyone seen the new question that MUST be answered? It has been added in the past 8 days and asks you to list any required long term medications that you take.

So explain this one as it relates to knowledge, training, education.

I simply refuse to complete this "evaluation" based on too many factors (as noted above) and more not listed in this post.

So, how many of you are actually doing it? How many care about the data entered, who/what sees your data, truth, accuracy, whatever.

It's pathetic and without some documentation from SAFEA and privacy and actual proof of the completer, why would you do it? I'm happy to enter false data for past-colleagues considering there is no cross-linking to Visa, Passport, Resident Permit, FEC, etc. numbers.

New input or opinions, especially with this "medication" question? Should you actually choose to respond, truthfully or not, to this question, you're simply ridiculous. There is an entire other process for "health" basis for credentialing in China - and SAFEA has no business in this matter.

So ?

Not sure how long you've been in the FT game. From your number of posts - not long I expect. Accordingly, if this is your worst China experience, think yourself lucky.

Grow up.

Apparently you are incapable of reading the post and responding... move on.

And yet your number of posts show that you don't know how to reply to a post.

"Dave's" is hardly my life and it's amazing that your so-called logic dictates that the number of posts here are indicative of teaching experience/length. That's more pathetic than the original issue.

MOD EDIT: This username is no longer active on this board.

Even if Dave's isn't your life, I note all of your posts have been in the space of 6 days.
They also have a distinct 'tone' - believe me.
The self-administered test for FTs you refer to has been discussed at length and is far from a new issue.
Like many things in China, this test/questionnaire is an attempt by the authorities to gain (or be seen to be gaining) some control over an out of control sector.
The issues you may face in future will be far more upsetting - believe me.

Four 1-2 page threads are a discussion "at length?" I guess some people are less impressed than most.

"New issue" was discussed where?

Your 12 months and about 2 weeks of a Dave's life is supposedly the threshold for your authority on issues and living in China? Wow, that's impressive.

My "tone" is none of your business to comment upon. You're free to ignore my threads and/or posts.

My eight years of China beats your 12 months and change on Dave's and that being said, the issues I face IN THE FUTURE are hardly the concern of your "in future" ones.

Thanks for the lack of productive input - that's why the internet is just a waste of time.

Let me get my "sarcasm sign."

And yet you take time to read and post?

And yet you seem to have learned very little about China and its ways (my 17 years makes your 8 less significant).

And just out of interest, why are all your posts so aggressive? Are you not happy here? Stress? Pressure?

In 8 years, you should have at least realised that the rule of law is in writing only in this country, and that the application of said rules can, and will vary out of all proportion depending on your location, school, etc.

But, but, but, wouldn't that be not following the letter of the law? False data? "Happy" to do it? You must be one of those hopeless individuals who entered the country illegally on a tourist visa to look for a job!

Four years and I've never been asked to take the test.

I feel left out.

What IS that last question that has been added recently? Rolling Eyes
