The Harmon Hall in Eje 5 in D.F. seems to have been rebranded with the name "Hache Hache" (Aitch Aitch (HH) for those who don't speak Spanish). Does anyone know if this is a total rebrand, and the reasons behind it? Playa del Sol perhaps? |

Maybe they were bought out by PepsiCo? (The owners of KFC.) |

Maybe there's a pun I didn't catch in MotherF's comment. |

When Pepsi bought Kentucky Fried Chicken, they rebranded it as KFC, Fried was becoming a dirty word at that time, which as far as I know is not the case for either Harmon or Hall, but changing the name to intials was both convenient and catchy.
It does look like something that would be on a cow's rump doesn't it? |

But in this case it's not initials as such, rather the name of the initials "Hache Hache".
I've just checked the HH website and there's nothing on there about it. I can only assume that the branch has been sold and HH are happy about the new owners using a similar name.
...where's Playa del Sol? |

Isn't it the old Mexican marketing technique of putting the same business where there was one before in the hope that people will blindly walk in? |

I thought it was putting 4 other places with almost the same name next door, upstairs, downstairs and out back.
Harmon Jall
Herman Hall
Hernan Jale
Tacos de Harmon Hall |
