I left Taiwan about 7 years ago.

Looking at the job postings I see that 600NT or less is still the going rate.

Imagine there has been some inflation over that time....

I was in Taichung so housing and most stuff was cheap.

Must be hard going living in Taipei these days on that kind of money but?????

Is there still a steady influx of Canadian grad kids,kiwi and aussie/sth african exiles to supply the market?????

Plenty of South Africans and Canadians here. I've never met any Australians.

Same mix from what I see, although there are also more Americans - their economy being in the toilet and all.
