What's the difference between bad coffee and the Toronto Maple Leafs?

No matter how bad the coffee is, you can still get it in the cup. No matter how good the Leafs get...

Shaman, I'm sorry that your team choked... Shocked I mean, uh, didn't get through this round. Very Happy

Perhaps next year will be their year. It would be nice to see a Canadian team take home the Stanley Cup! Cool

Ummm, thanks Capes. I think... Confused

At least I'm in Ottawa this weekend. Not many can say too much here. Wink

So far so good, Capes. Quite happy to take a short break from Poutineville right before the long break. Wink

Say Hi to Emperor Martin from us. Maybe you could ask him to make a few revisions to the non-residency tax status for us expats.

Thought I'd sit outside the House of Commons to see if an endless string of politicians would exit a VW Bug. Wink Then I realized it's Saturday - they're probably at a tax-payer funded getaway finding new and innovative ways to misspend our tax dollars.

"Okay. We got away with a $90,000 carpet. Can anyone top that?"

I'll stop now, before the vitriol really begins to flow.

Sounds to me like the Canadian government has an image problem. They should study under the low level government employees in Japan.

In the heat of summer workers in government offices in Japan purposely leave the air conditioners turned off so that when they meet wih the citizenry soaked in sweat they look like they are doing everything they possibly can to save tax dollars

I'm sure the sweat dripping off their brows is ruining the $90,000 carpets.

Don't worry Leaf fans. Since Game 6 in TO, the Laffs have acquired the rights to two great new Russian players: Summeroff and Tee-off.

Laughing Perhaps the Deadmonton Oilers can give the latest eliminated playoff teams tips as to where the best links are. The league's farm team has had more time to do adequate scouting reports.
