I am travelling to China in September. I have been looking for travel insurance, but have not had to much luck. Could anyone recommend any good, inexpensive insurance? I am just looking for something to supplement what the school gives me, and so that I have continuous coverage in the US.
Thanks for any help you can give us!

Lonely Planet recommends World Nomads.

Little confused. What school? In China or the U.S.? Are you looking for coverage globally, including the U.S.? Are you only going for September?

Travel insurance guidelines and parameters will vary on these points.

I used World Escapade on a recent three week trip to Thailand, as a tourist. Very cheap, under $40, and reliable enough. I had to go to an expensive international clinic while I was there, and they reimbursed me, minus $20 for some processing fee, about 5 weeks after I got back. Could have been quicker, but only having to pay $60 in the end for a first world walk-in medical clinic when I needed one was entirely worth it, in hindsight.

Sorry.. I guess I was a little tired when I wrote the message. I will be in China for 10 months teaching English. I will just need insurance for the time we will be in China, not in the US. Thanks for any help.
