I am completing the CELTA certification in a week. I am in Ecuador. I was planning to travel South to Chile or Argentina. But I have NO idea where to go.

I want to avoid big cities if possible and would love to be near outdoor sports... like hiking. I really want a small town, simple quiet life in a nice community. I know that limits my opportunity to find a job.

Any suggestions - a nice town where I could learn Spanish and likely find a job? Do I have to show up to get the job or can I do this online? Really any suggestions would be awesome. I would normally send out resumes and cover letters to big city schools and show up but because I don't want to be in the city I feel like I have to really search for the schools...And can't really travel around to small towns... I don't think I could afford all the travel. I am not sure the best way to go about this or to identify where schools might be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Jamie

Greetings,
I know its been a while since you posted this but I'm writing to ask if you ended up making the jump to Latin America- any advice you could share with someone who is looking to do the same in the near future? Thank you!
Mike
