|
|
I live in Chiba city, and my friend lives in Chiharadai. We have looked at multiple places Aeon, Yaks, Keisei Livre, Topmart, and the such. Anyhow nobody seems to sell CC lemon in the 1.5L nor the 2L sizes.
It's been like this for several weeks now.
Did the Suntory plant in Chiba get damaged?
What's going on? |

Random, but I'm in Osaka and cannot find CC Lemon anywhere. It's my favourite drink and I haven't seen it around for a few weeks now. |

They had 1.5 litre bottles of CC lemon in my local supermarket in west Tokyo today, so they are still making it.
Supply and distribution of various things probably hasn't quite got back to normal yet, no doubt it'll be back in stock where you are soon |

But why just Suntory? Where are their bottling plants? Coke, Kirin, and the other drink companies are doing ok, but Suntory seems to be the only one. I don't drink Pepsi, but I noticed there isn't much around me either. Wonder if they suffered some serious damage from the quake in the Kano area?
Can you check the made date Aspara? Wonder when they were bottled. I am kinda interested |

Heaps of Pepsi around here. Our convenience stores have even started selling 1.5l bottles of the Nex Zero variety along side the regular kind.
Guess you area has just been suffering from delivery issues. |

It's not just Suntory- it was in the news a week or so ago that supplies of beer are expected to be 10% lower for the next few months than usual, and beers stocks were down in the supermarkets for a while, as well as some of the usual seasonal types not being available even now apparently.
Kirin's factory in Tohoku was badly damaged by the tsunami and can manufacturers were also affected. I think all the beverage makers took a hit and not all the drinks available before the earthquake are available now- it's just that CC Lemon is the one that stands out to you!
Will have a look at the CC Lemon next time I get to the supermarket, but with a 3 week old baby that is not as often now as it used to be! |

Hmm could just be my locality. There is Pepsi, but a bit less in the 2L bottles. |

Haha, thanks. Personally I don't drink all that much soda, but my finance does. She loves CC Lemon.
I went to buy some beer today, and did notice that the regular beer(not the abortion of beer aka happoshu) was really low.
I didn't know all that much about the damaged industries, thanks for letting me in on that. |

I was very happy to find a store at home here in Ontario that sells CC Lemon. One thing I wish I could find is the Melon Fanta Soda that I bought in the aluminum bottle from the 7-11. It's the one thing I miss the most. |

Speaking of soft drinks in Japan, I remember finding a source for Dr. Pepper in Tokyo around 20-some years ago...is that wondrous carbonated elixir still easily had to satiate an Occidental's thirst? |

Dr Pepper is easily found in Tokyo, I think some vending machines have it. In Osaka, not so widely found, you have to go to the import shops. |

Terrific. Thanks, ciccone_youth.
Now, all I need is a source for A&W Root Beer and I can die upon the soils of Japan, content. |

My hero.
Thanks for the link and that little comfort that brings a brief escape to an island of familiarity. |

Oh about 2 weeks ago, suddenly CC Lemon came back
BTW A&W can be found in a lot of the more trendy sotres now. I think they like how the cans look on the shelves. As most Japanese think A&W tastes like Icey Hot |
