41year old NZ national..
12 years in Asia with international schools.
BSC,PGCT(PGCE equivalent),TEFL etc
any NETS know where I might fit on the 23k-47k/month points system??

Not totally sure, but possibly around Point 26, 27. There's also the special allowance to add on, so you'd end up with about 50K or a bit more.
That's where I started, but I was never quite sure if all my experience was 'verified' and taken into account - couple of my old schools went bust so I couldn't update references. |

oxi - you can ask edb how they calculated your salary. you are entitled to know this.
re where you might fit: the edb is very particular about getting chopped and verified statements regarding previous experience. also your tesl cert must be one which meets approval. primary nets have a cut off step whether they have qts or not; secondary nets get paid further up the scale. the pay scales are available through edb site. all experience and qualifications are scrutinized before they determine your salary. the info on edb site sets out some guidelines regarding qualifications and where these are cut off. to be on top of scale you must be certified teacher with relevant degree and verified experience at the appropriate age level. |
