Scavaging? Don't think so.
We would often drive into a town at night and decide to park up to sleep, we'd usually choose a garage forecourt if there was one because they have armed gaurds so are reasonably safe, if that wasn't an option we'd just park on the street outside someones house. We'd always ask them if it was OK and they were always more than happy for us to do so, they'd come out to chat, usually offer us some fruit or other food, give us beer or pisco sometimes even inviting us in for dinner. Very nice people the Peruanas.
I'm not from the Highlands at all, defo not from Aberdeen and I'd have no problem sharing some beer and food with some Peruvians on a road trip in Scotland. |
