Well im looking into getting a TEFL in Alex. Egypt, but China (Beijing) has always been in my mind, I have contacted about jobs before and went as far as getting a contract, but that was before....... Anyway, here are my questions to sum it up.. ( I am U.S. Citizen, little teaching experience in Colombia off and on for a few years, no degree, and no TEFL, yet)

1. Should I get a TEFL in China, somewhere else, or no, or dosent it matter?
2. If yes, where are the best places to get a TEFL (in China)?
3. Any suggestions on schools (with accommodation)

Im looking to leave very soon, im just trying to get some good compiled information to go on. Thanks

There are threads on this forum about tefl courses offered in China, but the search function isn't working again. I suggest you just search manually through the various pages here and see if you can find them. The places I seem to remember were schools that offered a tefl course with employment at the same place after the course was finished.

As you don't have a degree or much experience you'll have more (a lot of) trouble working legally (that is getting issued a Z visa and residence permit) but plenty of other people do it. The downside of not coming here on a Z visa is that if everything goes pear shaped and you get shafted there isn't much you can do.
