oh wow, who knew. I have nevr heard of that. But again, you've been here longer, and I am sure when you hit your mid 30's, the women who want to get married start flocking. |

| Why do you assume it was the women who were curious? Most of the questions I got about liking women came from men. And, some of them were obviously trying to set me up with their female coworkers, so that was part of the reason they asked. General curiosity was probably the other, based on their own stereotype of how foreigners perceive J women. |

Ok, just wondering. I don't know how hooking people up works here. I got a GF early on here, so I missed the learning curve. I thought women would hook up their female friends TBH, not guys. in the US women are more interested in that playing match maker.
Also, when i worked at an Eikaiwa, it seems as though only women cared about if I were single or not. Japanese guys really don't seem to have cared one way or the other.
When did this all happen? I know from people who were in japan in the 90's that daing gaijin was looked at differently than it is now. |
