Can anyone point me towards any books or online resources that offer advice/tips/hints on teaching multilevel families? I'm going to teach a family of two parents (early 30's, mom is lower intermediate, father is advanced) and their two children (8 and 10, very low level, both take ESL as a small component of their daily elementary education). The focus is speaking.

And of course, any tips or hints from those of you who have experience with this. I have experience with these levels and ages but not as one group! |

				| I was thinking the same thing - it would be a nightmare to have a family group as a class. I'd definitely divide them up into at least two very separate classes (if I agreed to take them at all). |

Thanks very much! I think I will have to split them for sure.

They are actually our best friends and their kids So it's completely informal and a tradeoff for babysitting I'm not too concerned, I'd just love a bit of reading to see how best to approach it. |
