Tell me the good, the bad and ugly. Job duties include
being involved in planning and implementing an induction prior to beginning of semester.
Oversee day-to-day lesson planning and classroom teaching.
Support teachers in completing all aspects of the department�s Continuous Professional Development programme.
Teach up to 16 ACH per week.
Organize and/or provide emergency lesson cover.
Appraise teacher�s performance
Recruit teachers.
Compensation
14,500 RMB per month
10,000 RMB performance-related bonus on contract completion
two 18-week salaried semesters and short-term work opportunities during the winter and summer breaks
8,000 RMB tax-free flight reimbursement
10 days' paid holiday
co-paid health insurance
academic support from AOM and a bank of existing materials |

Sounds like a DOS position. The money is not bad if you're in a smaller city. If you're in Beijing or Shanghai it's not so good.
As a DOS you will have a lot more responsibilties than what are written there. You are the middle man between whining teachers and money-grubbing management.
You will probably work six days a week. Your days off will not be completely free because people will bother you, forgetting it's your day off.
You will have no energy or time to pursue outside classes for extra money.
Since it's EF, you will have to deal with drunken newbs, run meetings, and tow the party line.
I'm biased, maybe someone will have a more positive account? |

Yes, pass. Not enough remuneration for the stress you'll likely encounter. If the position enhances your resume then that might be a consideration but overall a weak offer. |
