I'm also interested in the average pay and cost of living. I was just offered a position teaching 25hrs a week at 2250TL and I must find/pay for my own accomodation.

Is it enough in Istanbul (my school is on the european-side).

In addition. 2 months..June and February will have 'reduced pay' because I'd be working less.

I'm guessing I'll need to take on a second job or a few privates to survive.

I plan to take the CELTA class this year as well on the side so I have an easier time finding work come next year.

No CELTA -- 2250TL? I'd jump on it if I were you.
