Well I see that the famous M Trading is doing their thing again, and have changed their name to Virtual Vision Solution. This as you well know is one of many of their aliases and yes they are advertising for their favourite spot Hail University. Not on this site, but on another.
Be careful of this company/people |

Hi,...I received an offer from Virtual Visions Solutions Al Kam Trading company LLC for 11,450SR /mth There is no mention of airfare in the offer. I guess that is included in the salary amount meaning I use that salary amount also for my airfare. Is that the case? The position is in UOH and single accommodation provided by the university. I haven't accepted their offer.
I have never spoken to these guys. Just every once in awhile they would inform me they are looking for something for me. I just ignored them. According to you they are connected with M Trading ....read some of the threads..mostly against the illegal visa.
What would you say apart from the illegal visa thing are the reasons not to work for these guys. Say 3 major things: |

That is correct it is deducted from your salary or I should say when you get your first salary that could be three or four months down the line once you get there.
If you type in mtrading in Google and look at this one We spent 20 hours in the airport in Bahrain as we wanted to get out of Saudi for fear that M Trading might try to stop us if we stayed at . Or this one M-Trading-Beware. They are not talking about visas and there are more than three good reasons in each of these. You make up your mind nobody can tell you what to do. What ever you decide good luck. |

Thanks .....I have read the info you pointed out on the experiences with other teachers who were with this company.
I can never understand how they expect anyone to get on a plane change your whole life and I have never had even a regular interview with them on the phone or skype or get other info from them....ask questions find out what;s up.
Instead they just throw out an offer from out of nowhere. There are so many companies that do this in KSA. Recruiters do this for sure. But even when you try to apply direct to universities on the net they give this bogus app form that asks where I went to high school or to list my annual salary of previous jobs. And why did you leave? I hate this forms and they take ten years to fill out. I have decided to keep them filled in so I can use the form to copy from since they are all similar.
When you do get a reply from the recruitment team at the university site it seems they just pass it on saying we got it and you will be notified but that's the end of it. What I'm saying is that direct hire is also handled by just a nebulous recruitment team too often. And like recruiters there is no real correspondence with John smith or Ahmed something. It seems you cannot connect with one singular man to make a connection. I understand they are shortlisting but I have a Masters in Ed and many years teaching including KSA. I think this works much better if you get a name of a contact at the school.
I brought this up in relation to the Virtual Visions thing because almost all of my contacts from KSA are kind of this far away into the void nebulous contact info back and forth where too often you are in the blind.
My last position in KSA was through someone who could honestly inform me what's the real deal I should expect and he even had a blog where I could see the town and the compound and where I would stay plus he was on skype or we emailed often with him answering my questions and then I made the decision got on the plane and it was pretty much what he said. That I trust not some people or recruitment team even in direct hire
or 20 people throwing out vague info and expect me to fly over.
If I'm going to buy a car I would like to deal with one salesman or at least a few guys i have a chance to see if I trust or not. At least I got a name. I can tell a lot about a person by how they write emails personally and their voice and if they can provide ample evidence. Basically how they treat you.
But i guess this is the game you play for the cash you get .....the nebulous game. After all you are doing time for money.
No one is going over there for 1000$ a month. |

If people stopped accepting these ridiculous offers/procedures, they would straighten up their act. If you have an MA and Middle East experience, I don't know why you're even considering it.

I said I did not accept the offer.
And to be honest Veiled I have read your comments about direct hires and as I said in my last message it is not much better when you are applying to a direct hire possibility. Face it....its the way they do things in the Middle East for the most part. Just because you apply to so called legitimate so called professional schools etc that doesn't mean you won't get the same BS. and Veiled you don't need a masters let alone a High School diploma to teach in KSA especially for most of the teaching positions over there. If you have a PHd then you are going to teach a more specialized field and it will not be foundation level.
People go to teach in KSA for the money. It is not a country that has a priority in Education. Give me a break. Where do you think that get their dough from ......dates .........try oil money.
So I expect the usual .....lets see we got a kitten, a guy with a cigar and lets not forget Homer to respond.
It's about Money veiled don't get me wrong I like the money too but stop this more professional stuff. Unless you are talking a Phd position then it doesn't matter ..... It is not about education.
I'm ready to go back and forth with you as you think you know everything so bring it on unless they ban me from my point here. |

Guys I need your help. I have an offer from them too.
Is accepting an offer from them absolutely out of the question or is there 1% chance that my life will be bearable? |

Only you can know if it will be bearable... for you. We all have our limits and I've always been amazed at how much crapola some people can take...
It depends a lot on how much you need or want the money...

Well I'm not in a financial emergency or something. I could use the money though. I am only making half of that without accommodation here in Asia lol. |

Yeah my offer is for the UoH. It says accommodation will be provided and work hours will be assigned by the university. Is that good or bad?
I'm willing to put up with lots of crapola for that salary. I just don't want to become the next sheiker. |

I done another check on Virtual Vision Solutions/M Trading etc and found them on another site so I sent the site that were advertising them as short message, and they found other things so they deleted them completely from their site |

That must be direct hire which is a little bit different from the recruited company. The university will get you id etc so that you can do banking the recruitment company does not do that and you have to get someone who has Saudi id to help sent and receive money it is a long list and I will not bore you with the details for it is already listed by other people. The housing is bad, but they give you money so that you can rent that is the way to go. As myself and others have stated everything is up to you we can lead you to the water, but we cant make you drink. Whatever you decide good luck, but you have to decide. |
