I received an e-mail of a Mexico job announcement and it contained this line: "Your working visa will be taken care of once you're here (you just need to come on a regular holiday visa)."
Is this for real? Do they really wait until you get into the country before they get you a working visa (so that you can legally work in the country)? That seems odd to me. |

S, es verdad. You have 180 days on a tourist visa, which you must convert into a working visa in that time. Although, some on this forum are reporting that the system is about to change... with no clear details available yet. |

No, thats the only way you can get one in Mexico, you have to do it once you are here. A tourist visa is typically for 180 days, so you have plenty of time since processing usually only takes a month, often less. More important to know would be the name of the employer....... |

And there probably wont be for at least a few months, for the time being
its business as usual. I hve already seen a couple of different interpretations of exactly how the new law is going to shake out. I guess we will see what happens. Well, you guys will see, not me, I dont have to deal with it, except second hand. |
