Hi. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a 6 month contract in a major city like Shanghai and get get your own apartment?

I know Aston offer six month contracts but you have to share with other teachers.

I think sharing is an Aston thing and not specific to 6m gigs.
Where an employer normally provides apartments they would be available to 6m contractors as well as 12m.
Airfare refunds might be prorated or non-existent for 6-monthers and you likely would not get paid public holidays falling at beginning or end of your contract. Ie Chinese NY.
I think these are areas where there might be a direct cash penalty, rather than a convenience issue like sharing.
