Here's one:
How does home-country certification in ESOL measure up as a useful qualification in China? Put differently, if it's neither Trinity nor CELTA (or one of the few other globally recognized certs), could a relevant qualification still give a prospective teacher an edge?
I hold professional certification in a state in the U.S. to teach K-12 ESOL and am wondering whether that will hold any water overseas.
Anyone have any idea? |

Yes it will for some jobs in China. It's not deal maker though. The most important qualification for teaching legally is at least a BA........ in anything. |

If you have a degree plus home country teaching certification then you have plenty of options - all of the standard jobs are open to you plus the international schools may be interested. |
