|
|
Hello, I am looking for a job in a Spanish speaking country. I am currently teaching in Colombia and found this job through Seriousteachers.com. I was wondering if anyone has used the "serious hiring"campaign because I would like to find a job in Argentina for the upcoming school year and it offers 10 employers for the country. If anyone knows anything can you please let me know, thanks! |

Until seeing your message, I had never heard of the site you mentioned, but upon checking it, it seemed to be reasonably full of potentially interesting teaching opportunities.
My last job was in Ecuador; in short, the job left a lot to be desired, but the country and the city I was located in (Quito, the capital) were great. The pay and benefits that I received in Quito were more than adequate, but the school itself (its owner, the way it was administered, a ton of the students and some of the staff) were, to put it politely, not exactly the greatest.
While my next job (to start in early September) is nowhere near South America (it is in Albania) and it pays even better than was the case in Ecuador, I would love to go back to South (or Central) America after this year is up. I expect that I will have my PhD in a year and hope that that may well help me get a university teaching job somewhere in the world, quite possibly in South America.
Besides Ecuador, Argentina intrigues me A LOT, but Colombia less so. That having been said, while I found postings on the site you mentioned out of Mexico (where I would also definitely consider going,) I didn't find anything in Argentina. On other sites, job postings for Argentina always bring you to another third site, meaning that it is difficult to apply for jobs there or even to know if your application / CV , etc actually went through to your target employer.
In any event, if you know about decent Argentinian employers, I'd love to know; I also will definitely keep the site you mentioned saved in my bookmarks section. |

Never heard of the hiring campaign, seriousteachers is an ok site. 10 employers, you have to pay for this, or is it free? |
