| Hello, I'm an American looking to get a 60 day tourist visa in Taiwan. Do I need to go to the Taiwan consulate here in the states? how long does this process usually last? I live kinda far from the consulate. Do I need to make a trip? |

HI,
All I did was google "Taipei economic and cultural office" and found the office in Florida, where I was living. Try googling TECO with your state name. If your state doesn't have one, find out where the nearest office is and you can mail in the required documents and they return them pretty quickly. If you can't find the info for the nearest office online, just call the Miami office and ask where the nearest TECO office is and they will kindly direct you. (305) 443-8917.
I received all of my documents back within a week, it may vary by state.
