You may have noticed that a new recruiter has shown up in the international jobs listing: Golden Gate. They have a nice web site that offers lots of information about their services, but contact information has yet to be listed. Has anyone ever heard of this outfit? Is it yet another version of M-Trading?

I have heard of them and I can tell you that they are very new to this game. Golden Gate is owned and run by a group of 20 something
(meaning their ages) teachers from the USA. That is about all there is to tell since they haven't been in business for more than a few months.

Thanks. That does at least give me a general notion of the nature of the company. At least it doesn't appear to be yet another trade name of M-
Trading.

Misinformation is a dangerous thing - Amenti.

The company is not run by a group of 20 somethings. Perhaps it would be better for teachers to look at their website and judge for themselves. They are serious professionals and not a 'fly-by-nite' operation.

I just checked out their web site again. Now they have put something in the Contact section. That was "coming soon" when I first checked, before I posted my original inquiry. The fact that they have addresses in both the U.S. and Saudi is positive. They give a P.O. box and a map for their Saudi location, but only a P.O. box for their Atlanta location.

The mysterious OTRC section is still "coming soon."

Here is a plus, though: They list their chief administrators under Company/Our Team. A lot more up front than shady recruiters! The years of experience listed for each person suggest they are in their 20's and 30's.

The wide range of very specific programs that they offer shows that someone is thinking in a serious fashion. Quite unlike recruiters that just say, "Positions all over the kingdom!"

Yes, I've heard of Golden Gate. I've even met a couple of teachers who worked for them. From all indications, they are a legitimate operation. I can't speak to how well they treat their employees or how well they are managed, but the organization is real.

Has anyone heard back from this company? They have my CV which they acknowledged and then asked for scan copies of certificates and what not. Haven't heard back yet....

Golden Gate have just contact me to find out if I was still interested in working for them. I agreed to a phone interview at the end of the week. Does anyone have any information on the company. The website just says 'coming soon' so it's not very helpful. Any advice would be appreciated.

When I click that link it says, "Our new site is coming soon" USA G[b] Saudi Arabia

That was done Feb. 11, 2010 & no site up now. I also was offered an interview but wish to research them carefully. The [b]INTERVIEWERS are from Sulaiman Al Rajhi University itself, not from Goldengate so I wonder who would be the actual employer? That is one question that will be asked in any actual interview.

I can attest to the fact that Golden Gate is in fact a real operation and they do in fact have teaching positions. They work as recruiters and so you will be contracted to work under them and they will contract you out to certain universities and colleges.

That being said I would not recommend working for these people. They are incredibly unprofessional and incompetent.
