So I applied to interac since the company that I got my TESOL certificate from supposedly work with them for job placements across Japan. As of now, I have not recevied a response. I remember reading that they usually get back to applicants in 48 hours. Is this true? I am curious because I am not sure If I just wasn't accepted. Has anyone else applied recently (last month or so). If you have applied to them, have you gotten a response?

Interac is still in the process of placing people for Fall start. I would suspect you may not hear back from them for a while, and when you do it'll just be that they have "received your application." They currently have over a 100 alternates/people delaying till April at the moment, so I think you can expect to wait till late fall, early winter to start hearing about phone interviews and the seminar.

There's a claim here that Interac purposely overhires to maintain an inventory of reserve teachers as replacements.

Poor working conditions lead to a high turnover of teachers and it appears that Interac has engineered a system to make substitutes quickly available in order to keep their BOE clients happy.
