Reading through the forum it appears that there are a number of employers to avoid (Edex and European Centre spring to mind). I'm newly qualified with a TEFL certificate and about 3 years experience plus university degree. If I was to consider a job in the Kingdom starting in September, who should I approach given my experience etc? Where are they posting their vacancies? |

This is a no-brainer. Obviously, the first place to check is http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/. Also do an Internet search on TEFL jobs Saudi. Be prepared to sift through a bunch of recruiter ads. |

Thanks NS. Are you in Saudi now or have you lived there before? I have been checking out various websites including this and tefl.com but I still have no way of knowing which are the employers to avoid. I suppose I am being lazy, but anything to save endless hours over the keyboard would be welcome. Anyone? |

Look for all postings for PMU and Hail. It is a race to the bottom between the two of them. Avoid PMU. It is absolutely not worth the stress and pain. |

Sorry don't understand your post. Are you saying avoid PMU and Hail (PMU I guess is Prince Mohammed University, who or what is Hail?) Thanks. |

I actually said "avoid PMU". Prince Mohhamad bin Fraud University. Hail is the university in Hail. Do some searching- you can just make a nice long list of the places not to work. If, in you search of Dave's, you find one place that people recommend, you are lucky. |

It seems that in the above post and re-post that "Fahad" has been mistyped as "Fraud". It's an easy mistake that anyone can make.
It's no reason to hyperventilate! |
