Since, according to my understanding, Thailand schools are in the middle of the semester, I was curious if anyone knows if there are still positions open at some schools in Bangkok. If so, which schools would you recommend I check into. Currently, I hold a bachelor's degree from the US in Political Science, but no TESOL certificate of any kind.
-Thanks for your help |

There are always jobs at the various language academies (slowest times being Dec/Jan).
If you mean schools (as in government, private, EP, bilingual) then the semester breaks in Oct and the 2nd term begins in late Oct. or the start of Nov. We are just about at the end of the 1st term (finals occur in about 3 weeks.
MOD EDIT
Schools are starting to advertise now for 2nd term positions.
IF you are in BKK now and looking for work then, at least in the short term, language academies are your best bet while you look for something better.

There are many ESL positions opening all the time. Kindergarten is the biggest area available. The ESL positions at this time generally go to those with degrees and experience. If you have both you will get a job right away. If you have a degree with TEFL certificate you can get a job at EEC pretty quickly. Although the pay isn't the greatest, it will hold you until the jobs start picking up, and you can say you have experience. |
