| I know this is an ESL site but... I am interested in working in the Middle East and not just in ESL but also in business or science as I have two grad degrees. I notice that many unis in KSA are looking for PhDs but will accept a master's. Are they many PhDs working in non-ESL positions are unis? |

Your question isn't clear to me. Are you asking if there are PhDs working in Gulf universities? Or are you asking if MAs often get hired as professors without a PhD?

Probably not at the top places. There are still plenty of PhD's desperate for a job too. The best chances would be at small private universities around the Gulf. I taught accounting and basic business courses at HCT in the UAE and at a small private college in Oman. But, although AUS flew me in for an interview, they feared that the lack of a PhD would affect their US accreditation.
But you lose nothing by applying...
