This is silly. You're all getting reeled in and wound up again.

Enough is enough.

I came clean about the fact I was working on an F visa, and the agent in beijing had no intentions to help me apply for a Z visa

Did you give them 7-15,000 RMB as mentioned below?

I'm still waiting for an answer from beijing to get a visa to go to China.
Now the school are asking me when I'm coming, and all i can say them is to wait. Now my money issues are ok. So some of you better not jump to judgement too quickly.
peace to you all.

DON'T GO BACK TO CHINA!! You are a fool if you do. So you got some money. Where did it come from and why didn't you get it 2 -3 months ago?

You are better off saving some more money and getting yourself prepared for the NEXT semester (i.e. Feb. 2012).

How much money will you be taking with you? And what is the school called that wants you? You need to regather yourself and prepare for the next step. Not go diving into the deep end again.

Please tell me the name of the school that wants you.

Still no answer from beijing. I will find my way back to Hong Kong. I will not allow the chinese government get in my way. This is the path I have chosen for my career.

I'm a Kiwi. Not a Brit. Smile anyone into the Rugby world Cup? We are hosting it in a few weeks in New Zealand.

Sorry, but this sounds more like a fools' errand.

Do you enjoy confrontation with Chinese officialdom which I doubt very much that you would win? Your past history in China seems to be littered with it.

Better to stay where you are in NZ and enjoy the RWC.

I have faith in myself. Not to lose hope, but keep trying until I'm successful. What will people say when I have made it? I have settled successfully in China. I know from my experience in China nothing will ever be perfect. But I need to learn to adjust my life around China, not the other way round. Thus for me is a challenge.
New Zealand is a clean, green country, but now so many Asians and other people here, the job market here is tight. I made an effort to enroll for uni study. And that keeps my mind busy, but with limited employment opportunities here, it's hard not to take china out of the equation.
I can do both, study and work in China, leading a more balanced life.
Just need the right frame of mind, be open.

Great, you have confidence and you want to work hard to achieve your objectives, that is admirable. You don't mind a challenge and a bit of adversity, and certainly that is key to survive, especially in something like living and working abroad.

I can also see that simply because you had problems in the past, it doesn't mean that you cannot have success going forward. I don't think that most people here really think that either, and I am sure plenty hope you find success in the future.

The thing about your situation is that you seem hell-bent on coming to China, immediately, whether the country is willing to accept you or not. You claim you want to settle successfully in China, but also state that the government will not get in your way if they don't issue you a visa. This is either incredibly naive or incredibly stupid (or likely both), but it is not likely to succeed. If China will not issue you with a visa because of a former situation, there are plenty of other choices that can be equally rewarding.

Then there are the inherent contradictions that only suggest that you are not sure what you want to do or how you can do it. You have a job lined up, but cannot get a visa. You want to study, and have made an effort to enroll, but want to leave. You want to study in China, but are not trying to come over as a student. You left destitute but have the money to attempt to come back, via HK, without a visa.

Even if given the benefit of the doubt, you seem to have one of the most foolish plans I have heard of in terms of coming to China. Considering you have been here once and couldn't survive (and I don't actually think this is that difficult a thing to do, especially if you are legitimate visa), I have to say that all the optimism and can do attitude in the world is probably not going to get you very far. With a little bit of time, some money saved up, a real plan, a real job and a real visa, you might achieve what you hope for. If you try to take a short cut like you are now, you are setting yourself up for a heap of trouble and a dearth of sympathy.

I have told you this before and I'll keep telling you. Please listen to my advice. DON"T GO BACK TO CHINA!! You are not ready for it. You have no money. If you go to Hong Kong, you will have to shell out many more $$$ for accomodation. Where did you get this money from, anyway? How come suddenly you have money from being completely broke about 3 months ago? And why don't you answer my question from previous posts...? Which school wants you to work in China?

And, no, I don't know you.......
