I left my previous school without notifying the school due to the horrible conditions which deviated from the contract. The Z visa has already expired. I want to apply for new teaching jobs in China, will I have trouble getting another Z visa with a new school? Thanks. I am an American living in America right now.

EDIT: I had a residence permit and foreign expert certificate too.

We should only hope so. "They violated" the contract, but it was okay for you to do? Impressive. Of course the Z visa expired. It takes only 30 days after you enter China.

Your answers are easily found elsewhere. But we can only hope you are denied valid working documents for your choice to skip out on a legal agreement; despite what you claim.

I've just seen another post by you on this forum, where you ridicule a suicide. I think you should do something better with your time.

To the OP: Unfortunately, I'm new to this and don't know the workings of the system. However, if any new employer asks questions about it, I would just state why you left, any decent employer should understand (hopefully).

Again with the trolling, I don't suppose it'd be easy for you to simply not troll would it?

OP, if you apply to a different province you shouldn't have a problem.
If you apply to the same province, do so in a different city.
Conditions advertised often times do not meet the conditions you see.
Remember anything a recruiter tells you should be taken with a kilo of
salt. If you do this, you should be alright.

You say the z visa expired. Does this mean you were never issued a residence permit? If they failed to do that you are fine.

As another poster said, just don't apply in the same province.

If the z visa expired then did you get a different visa? If not then your troubles have just begun.

ditto that. When i was there in 2003-4 we had a runaway and she found another job in another province. She had problems with the school and left after only four months. She was from Kenya and claimed being black had something to do with it.

Later the principle told all the staff she would never work in China again. She was back in another job after 2 weeks. Education authorities in China don't talk to each other.

Ignore the insults, personal attacks, and wishes of malice. That poster has been here for years and years using multiple names and always getting banned for continually breaking the rules of the forums.

Ironic to bemoan someone breaking a contract while breaking the rules of the forum.

I digress.

Go to another province, you should be OK. And never put up with schools that cheat you, or they will simply get away with it. Naming and shaming the school goes a long way to making schools better.
