If this is sarcastically implying that you are not assuming, but that you know I work for WG, I'll have to ask you to keep your assumptions about me to yourself.

If this is a serious question, look back over your questions toward me. The tone certainly implies that you are making an assumption. The fact that you brought up this issue several weeks after I ignored your question solidifies your assumption.

Either way, back off.

Why should I?

The simple fact is that you're arguing for the promulgation of a system that is worse than the current - you are advocating putting inexperienced, unqualified chumps in front of a class of 20+ students, calling it "good experience" for the unqualified chump.

I really don't care for the position I hold at the university I work at, to the extent that I will be taking my leave of the institution at the end of the coming semester. I have better things to do than work for people who couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery, let alone define "getting drunk" as the objective. I do not wish to work in an environment inimical to learning.

On the other hand, you are advocating putting unqualified and inexperienced numpties in front of university classes, effectively reducing the chances that the student might actually learn something.

Good luck with that.

Do bank robbers go from continent-to-continent to rob banks?

Umm... why wouldn't they? Criminals of all descriptions often travel from continent to continent for "work". A bad analogy me thinks Laughing

My thoughts too. Ever heard of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid??

It's an international bank-robbing movie!

No...it's not. Both responses are bordering on purile. I don't equate teachers to criminals and Butch and Sundance went to Bolivia to retire and hide out, but their lower nature got to them. It wasn't their prior intent.

However, another more cogent point is that I've never had a criminal mindset, so that's why, I guess, it's such a mystery to me.

Best luck to those criminals who journey to Japan and other far-flung places to teach English. Believe me, I've seen some of you teach at those Eikawas...talk about criminal...especially that working holiday visa crowd!

I lived and worked in Japan before the Middle East. If you ask me, it's YOU who are the victims of your employers. Laughing
