Hi one and all,
As I said last time I have been away from the great Bull for some 3 years.
Now hope to return is it a good time what are the present average rates at places like TED,ISTEK,Bilgi, Use to be that most schools paid around $2000 to $3000 USA a month plus rent and the rest, is the market still the same or have things changed.
In short is it a good time to return.... |

Well, although I actually just finally left Turkey a few months ago, I can say that your salary estimates are still fairly accurate, though with the current exchange rate (*cough*), quoting salaries in USD is rather depressing. I'd say 3500-4500 TL is the norm for private schools, with a few higher and a few lower. That would be including housing allowance. |

So 3500-4500 is normal for high schools in Istanbul, perhaps those people who want to save money should take note and stop working for peanuts at dershanes! |

But does that wage depend on qualifications and experience?
How much does an entry level job pay for a newbie here with a degree, CELTA and and experience, for example? |

Yes is the short answer, age and experience do count towards your monthly salary, however, remember the best teachers are usually just the cheapest! |
