My question is: Do you think I can pick up work as a English teacher without a Bachelors degree. I am residing in Cambodia at the present with my Cambodian fiancee and her son. They will move with me to Vietnam. Funds are drying up here so I want to come and work in Vietnam for a few years to gain experience teaching English. Others reasons are the opportunities are far better than Cambodia and the money is better too. I am 41 y.o with no teaching experience, white Australian male, neat in appearance, sober and I always speak clearly & politely. My experience is in the Hospitality Industry, hotels, with over 20 years experience. I never got any further than a supervisory role so working in hotels is out of the equation.I have tried already here and unless I'm a have higher management experience, they don't want to know. Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi Tassie Steve,
There is a current thread on this started by "liquidhazel" called "Bathelors/Associates need to teach in VN."
To answer you question: you can get work in VN, but it will not be at good schools.
The thread I mention is worth checking out and you can post your questions there. |
