Summary: time wasters
This organisation asked me to turn up for interview, certificates and all, within one hour of speaking to me over the phone, saying they were desperate for short-term help. After the interview I was told that they would telephone me about the precise hours at a specific time and arranged with me to come in on the Friday afternoon before the working week to prepare. Presumably because they had found some other people, they did not bother to contact me so. This was after I had done everything that they had asked, including turning down another proposed meeting on the Friday. After a decent wait, I phoned them. They did not even have the decency to apologise, telling me they had sent an email (which has not arrived).
If you're desperate, apply; otherwise I would suggest avoiding. |

Thanks for the 'heads up', CD. I have had similar experiences with schools abroad and in the UK, and have exposed them for their rudeness and immoral behaviour.
If they don't have the common decency to inform you that you won't be required, after you jumping through so many hoops, then they deserve to be exposed. After all, what does it cost them to send an e-mail? It's contemptible behaviour.
Once you've mentioned them on here it's a good idea to send them an email, informing them of their public outing on this forum. That way, they'll be less likely to repeat the dismissive behaviour again.
PS: I got similar treatment from the London School of English, no less! |

Thanks for the reminder. I just have done. Indeed, as they apparently have British Council accreditation, I thought I'd write to BC to check if this is in fact something they approve of. |
