I am about to move to Guaymas, Sonora to teach pre-kinder at Colegio Americano de San Carlos. I am curious what everyone here knows about the location, school and people there and anything else you want to tell me...

It's a cool port town. Lot's of delicious sea food.

I remember a lot of bars,
some local rock music.

A lot of beer.

Beautiful beach.

I've never been there, but I would imagine the weather is pretty hot and humid most of the year.

You're probably already there amd have discovered this for yourself, but...

It's a wonderful place and both Guaymas and Nuevo Guaymas (San Carlos) have a lot to offer - at different ends of the spectrum. I love both, I wouldn't want to inhabit/socialise/live exclusively in either.

Enjoy! It's an amazing place to live!

Bars, music, beach, sea food - yes.

Humidity - June to November for sure... inbetween in can depend. This year it was very bearable until mid-May. Pretty nice climate really, but August and Sept are cruel.

If you accepted an offer and then declined it at the last minute, you may have some difficulty convincing them to make you another offer.

Yes, I'm hoping they will extend another offer. It was discussed at length when I declined and she said she would and i've been in touch since.
