I am about to move to Guaymas, Sonora to teach pre-kinder at Colegio Americano de San Carlos. I am curious what everyone here knows about the location, school and people there and anything else you want to tell me...

It's a cool port town. Lot's of delicious sea food.
I remember a lot of bars,
some local rock music.
A lot of beer.
Beautiful beach. |

I've never been there, but I would imagine the weather is pretty hot and humid most of the year. |

You're probably already there amd have discovered this for yourself, but...
It's a wonderful place and both Guaymas and Nuevo Guaymas (San Carlos) have a lot to offer - at different ends of the spectrum. I love both, I wouldn't want to inhabit/socialise/live exclusively in either.
Enjoy! It's an amazing place to live! |

Bars, music, beach, sea food - yes.
Humidity - June to November for sure... inbetween in can depend. This year it was very bearable until mid-May. Pretty nice climate really, but August and Sept are cruel. |

If you accepted an offer and then declined it at the last minute, you may have some difficulty convincing them to make you another offer. |

Yes, I'm hoping they will extend another offer. It was discussed at length when I declined and she said she would and i've been in touch since. |
