Can offers from Ed Ex be trusted?

They don't specify where you will be placed but tell you only when you arrive in Saudi Arabia...Does that means you could end up in a small town in the desert?

The offer said that accommodation was included but not on a compound -
what is that like if you are a western white guy?

What happens if you get there and a few weeks later you decide the job isn't suitable. Is it OK to leave?

Personally I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole...

I wouldn't consider a moment a job offer which gives you no idea nor choice on where the heck you will be working. That I don't know the standard of the housing.

Sorry I've never been a guy...

But, yes, you can just turn around and buy yourself a ticket home since you won't have a legitimate work visa.

Historically, Ed Ex will place you where they want when you get to Saudi. You can't rely on a promise of placement even if it is in the contract. They will move you with less than 24 hours notice as well. This went on through the two years I was with them. If you aren't happy where they put you and want to leave, they will take money from you when you resign. So you have to grab your last pay check and run if you can.
