I taught in China for awhile and am now back in the USA doing other things. I am thinking about volunteering a bit with a local literacy organization and was asked to "train" by using the ProLiteracy website -
http://proliteracyednet.org/articles.asp?mcid=2&cid=24
This website introduces ESL, GED, U.S. Citizenship and a bunch of other topics. I'd say it is much better than the online TEFL certificate I got a few years ago and it is free!
Either way, those of you out there who are thinking about teaching English abroad may find something useful in it.
Good Luck & Happy Trails!!! |
