Hello everyone
I'm new to this and I'm looking for any kind of advice I can receive. I've read through many postings and I take everyone's experiences with "a grain of salt". However, it is nice to read any type of feedback.
I do not have any experience teaching, but I just completed my CELTA. I'm 36 from the US and I've decided to start off my new International teaching career by getting some experience with one of the "McSchools" for a year or so. After that, I think I can be a bit pickier.
If anyone is bored and feels like blogging on here for a while to give some advice, suggestions, rants or raves on Language Link in Russia or English First in China. I would love to hear everything.
Thank you all for your precious time. This is my first post. |

Hi. I think you need to follow Mcschool-related threads on the Russian and Chinese forums. Given that a lot of Chinese institutions seem to want conversational classes, perhaps Russia may give you teaching experience that you can take elsewhere. And yes, a Mcschool will probably best for your first job, although after a year or two, you might then go to a non-chain school, in Russia, China or elsewhere. |
