hi again,

Is it possible to get furnished accommodation in Sohar or do you have to fit an entire new flat out from scratch?

Also is it possible to live in Sohar without having a driving license and car? I'm trying to get a license before I go but I can't guarantee I'll be able to get one.

thanks again!

Hi Apollo,

You could live in Sohar without a car but make sure you live in a central area. I lived there and was able to walk to a shawarma shop etc... I think the cornishe is a little far, so I would advise near the soug area. There are many taxis in Oman as many Omanis have a taxi that they drive around.

I think most flats are unfurnished, though you could get some furniture deals from expats who are leaving.

Hope that helps.
