"Manfriends," cripes. I sometimes refer to my male friends as "Buddy," but usually call them "friend." I think I prefer, "female friend," as clumsy as that is, just so things don't get messy. It's easier in most other languages, which allow for plain distinctions between male and female friends, isn't it? Amigo/amiga and so on. Ah English.
