I'm interested in teaching abroad (I have a BA in journalism and a MA in communictions) and am looking into how to get a TEFL certificate. I've heard mixed reviews about Oxford Seminars and can't enroll in CELTA (The hours at the Teaching House are from 1 PM - late in the evening and I would have to work in order to afford the tuition).
Does anyone know of any reputable TEFL courses that are either in the evenings (after 5 PM) or on the weekends in the Los Angeles area? I don't want to do anything online since I've heard employers frown upon no classroom experience.
Thanks! |

Tefl isn't for working adults. It's for kids just out of college or people experience a mid-life crisis or retired folks. |
