| Only the top few jobs in Vietnam come close to competing with the ME for pay and benefits. Those jobs come with housing and transportation. It is not as groovy a place to live as Vietnam, but you can put some money away, have an interesting experience and improve your experience on the CV. |

In my second stint in Viet Nam I was able to save over a $1000/mth, but that was after tightening the belt, and I'm still relatively new to the game. I rarely ate at Western restaurants, bought my own motorcycle and cut down on the drinking, which was partially a health choice. Don't get me wrong though, I still had a good time, went on several trips and had a girlfriend that I took care of the restaurant bills for! If it weren't for the traffic, pollution and how crowded it is in Sai Gon, I'd probably still be there!
