Happiness is

watching ducks swim in park lakes
the sound of small children laughing
seeing Man utd lose..again
spending lots of money on sweets
wearing fancy dress in public
the aroma of a well cooked shepherd pie
the aroma of a well read Lonely planet book
a song by Roger Whittaker
travelling for free on the Paris metro
going in to work late
leaving work early for no reason
Bonnie Langford dancing
a story by Camilla parker bowles
cross dressing
bulding sand castles on building sites
post coital sleeps
reading Razzle magazine
using a well looked after public convenience
eating mint ice cream
patting friendly sheep
first class travel
living in sin
page 3
skimming stones with a loved one
the thrill of a rollicking good heated discussion
Mick jaggers lips
lessons being cancelled
public holidays
the company of intelligent and refined ladies
a drum solo by Ginger baker
eating the marzipan balls from the xmas cake
singing evangelical hymns in praise of Jesus
and finally best of all.......
the view below of Arabia as you fly away to it...heading to a different continent......NOW THAT IS HAPPINESS!!!

Things that make me happy...

New books
Chinese food
Mangoes
Taking a walk in the evening after a boiling hot day
Having a good lesson when I expected it to be bad
(Some of) my students
Getting an email from a friend saying she's determined to make me come to her wedding when I thought she was starting to forget me...
Phoning my family
Looking at old photographs
Cancelled classes
When the internet is working
Reading some of the posts on this forum
Making plans
Travel
Knowing someone is attracted to me (not that that happens very often!)

Smile

oh, forgot to add,

being far, far away from the Isle of Sheppey!

(a small insignificant island off the coast of southern England, for those of you - all of you, I shouldn't wonder - who don't know it)

Lifting weights in the gym
Hockey/American Football
Good quality beer (lacking in Japan, I'm afraid)
Nomi Ho Dai (if you have to drink swill, drink lots of it!)
Mountain biking
Reading
Classical Music
Jazz
Listening to Neil Peart play the drums
Watching young children trying to forcefully insert their fingers into their parent's rectum (it never gets old)
Japanese game shows (particularily the sadistic ones)
Rotemburos
http://www.ncbi.nih.gov (yep, I'm a geek)
Learning SOMETHING new everyday (a habit I started when I was 16, I'm now a bastion of useless facts!)
Being Canadian

Agreed... Welcome to the club!

Continuing on a bit... For me things like enjoyment of the cool summer breezes, nature's beauty (clean water & air), being clean, music that make you hair stand on end, body surfing in tropical waters, being with family and friends, seeing the woman your love walking/running to YOU, a cold can of diet coke on a hot day (first, roll it back and forth accross your sweating forehead)...

On a tangent... The other day this girl I was talking with and commented about how great it is to be male asked me "what's so great about being a man?"
WOMEN!!!

"We are Sheppeyscum, I said we are Sheppey scum"
(to the tune of "Boots up 'side your head, I said boots upside your head"

Unfortunately I believe they've taken down the website (www.sheppeyscum.org) 'cos they said it was offensive or summat.
Typical Queenboroites, no sense of humour!
